THANK YOU in advance for your support!
Laurie, you came out with this at the most opportune time! I thought I had Italian Seasoning (as I needed it to make dinner tonight), but couldn’t find any in my cupboard. So I was able to pull the herbs out of my pantry and throw some more together. Now I just need to get more Parsley.
I’m so glad, Laura!
Thanks, I have been looking for this recipe. I have most of it growing in my garden at the moment! Could you update the “recipe card” to include the amount required? The last 4 items do not have the quantity listed. It is in the text of your post as 1 teaspoon each of thyme and rosemary, but it says 1 Tablespoon of rubbed sage, so I would appreciate a clarification so much!
Thanks!
Did Laurie ever answer your question about amounts? I combined ingredients according to her notes under the photo BUT then I saw that her printed recipe instructions had something different. I plan to use this tomorrow, but wonder if I have too much sage????
Hi Susan! I’m so sorry for the delay in response. I found your comment in my spam folder? Weird! However I’ve just updated the recipe card to reflect the correct measurements.
Hey Laurie, The notes beneath the photos say: add 2 tablespoons of each dried basil, marjoram, oregano and parsley. Then measure and add in 1 tablespoon rubbed sage, 1 teaspoon each dried thyme and crushed dried rosemary. (That equals 9T. and 2 tsp.)
However in the Recipe it says: Yields 1/2 cup (8 tablespoons). and the ingredient list is as follows:
2 tablespoons dried basil
2 tablespoons dried marjoram
2 tablespoons dried oregano
2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
teaspoons rubbed sage
teaspoons dried thyme
teaspoons dried crushed rosemary
Clearly, that will be more than 8 T. How many tsp of sage, thyme, rosemary?
So, the results are not going to be the same depending on whether I follow the notes or the instructions.
Hi Rebecca! My apologies for the confusion! Not sure how that happened?! The instructions under the photo are correct. 1 tablespoon rubbed sage, 1 teaspoon dried thyme and crushed rosemary. Thanks for kindly pointing that out, I really appreciate it!! I’ve already made the corrections.
