Lord knows I could sure use one everyday.

And if you recall, last week I mentioned that I made milkshakes. Well you didn’t think I’d leave you hanging did you? I would never. That day I just made regular chocolate milkshakes, which by the way taste like a Frosty from Wendy’s (if you ask me). This time I added a frozen banana and used my homemade chocolate syrup for the perfect chocolate banana milkshake.

Oh and you’ll want some extra large straws for this extra thick shake.

To make these bonkers amazing milkshakes start by pouring 2/3 cup of whole milk into the pitcher.

Then pour in a 1/2 cup of my homemade chocolate syrup

… drop in the frozen bananas…

…2 heaping cups (seriously eyeball it here).vanilla ice cream…

… and lastly 2 cups of ice.

Secure the lid, plug in the blender…

…turn the dial to the smoothie/milkshake speed…

…press the start button and behold the magic.

Blend until the milkshake ingredients are combined, thick and smooth.

Pour into chilled glasses, top with whipped cream, a few slices of bananas and drizzle more of that chocolate syrup.

Insert straws and sip.

SO GOOD! There’s nothing like a homemade chocolate shake. Nothing. And if you’re not a fan of bananas, just omit them for a super good chocolate milk good worthy of dipping french fries in… or maybe that’s just me.

Chocolate Banana Milkshake

Homemade chocolate syrup blended with frozen bananas and ice cream for an extra thick milkshake!

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup homemade chocolate syrup, plus more for serving
  • 1 large frozen sliced banana, plus fresh banana slices for serving
  • 2 heaping cups vanilla ice cream
  • 2 cups ice

Instructions 

  • Add the milk, syrup, banana, ice cream and ice to the pitcher of your blender.
  • Blend until thick and smooth.
  • Pour into chilled glasses add a dollop of whipped cream, a few banana slices and drizzle with more chocolate syrup.
  • Insert straws and enjoy!
