This All-Purpose Seasoning Salt is a staple in my kitchen! A blend of 6 spices is perfect tossed with cubed potatoes before roasting or sprinkled over fried eggs!
If I could suggest one homemade seasoning that should be in every kitchen, it would be this all-purpose seasoning salt. Similar to Lawry’s (just without any additives), this homemade version is great in so many things. I love it tossed with potatoes before roasting, it’s a quick way to season panko for breading onion rings or onion rings and it’s scrumptious mixed with oil, garlic and herbs and then brushed onto chicken.
The list goes on.
What spices are in All-Purpose Seasoning Salt?
- fine sea salt
- paprika
- turmeric
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- cayenne
In my original recipe it calls for sugar. I have since cut the sugar out completely and I don’t miss it one bit.
*Fine sea salt is a must! It’s similar in size as the spices so it will blend easily and can easily be shaken out of spice lids.
That’s it, just measure and mix and store in an air-tight container.

All-Purpose Seasoning Salt (sugar free)
This All-Purpose Seasoning Salt is a staple in my kitchen! A blend of 6 spices is perfect tossed with cubed potatoes before roasting or sprinkled over fried eggs!
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup fine sea salt
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1-1/2 teaspoons turmeric
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Measure and add all of the spices into a jar or container with a tight fitting lid.
- Store in a dark, dry place for up to 6 months or longer.
Notes
Fine sea salt is a must! It's similar in size as the spices so it will blend easily and can easily be shaken out of spice lids.
