Favorite Healthy Green Smoothie Recipe is a quick and healthy way to start your day or post workout. Frozen banana, mango and pineapple are blended with fresh ginger, avocado, some milk and spinach. This recipe makes 1 large smoothie or can be served as 2 smaller smoothies.
If your weekend was anything like my weekend, Monday morning requires a green smoothie.
This past weekend was our annual trip up north hunting for morel mushrooms. For the past three years, Pat and I meet up with close friends where we hang out at our cabin and spend a day looking for morels. There’s always lots of laughs, delicious food and adult beverages. With that said, come Monday I will need to recharge and get back on track.
A favorite way to do that is starting my day with my favorite healthy green smoothie. It’s full of healthy ingredients, is lusciously smooth and tastes absolutely amazing.
To Make My Favorite Healthy Green Smoothie You Will Need:
- banana – fresh or frozen
- mango – frozen
- pineapple – frozen
- milk of choice
- fresh spinach
Add 1/2 to 1 full banana (fresh or frozen) plus 3/4 cup frozen pineapple and 1/2 cup frozen mango to your blender.
Next add in 1/2 a small avocado and a knob of ginger. I personally don’t like an overly ginger tasting smoothie so I add about 1/2 an inch knob. Feel free to add as much or as little as you would like.
Pour in 3/4 cup milk of your choice. I’m using unsweetened vanilla macadamia nut milk.
Lastly add in 2 generous handfuls of fresh spinach and secure the lid.
Blend until smooth.
You may need to add 1/4 to 1/3 more milk or water to get the blender to get the smoothie fully blended.
That color tho!
Pour into a large glass, insert a straw, sip, savor and repeat.
A refreshing and flavorful smoothie you can feel good about.
I love the subtle ginger and banana. And if you are wondering if you will taste the spinach… the answer is not at all! This green smoothie is mild and absolutely amazing.
