Nothing says the holidays more than gingerbread. No matter what you make, a blend of warm rounded spices is there to greet you. Lucky for you, there’s no need to purchase it at the store because I have the perfect recipe for you. And as I always say, making your own spice blends at home will save you money.
In the next few weeks leading up to Christmas I’ll be sharing a few recipes using this spice mix. But for now, besides cookies, try this homemade gingerbread spice mix in pancakes, breads, granola and cakes. Really the sky is the limit.
To Make THis Homemade Gingerbread Spice Mix you will need:
Into a jar or container with a tight fitting lid, measure and add in 2 tablespoons each of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger and clove.
So easy you basically don’t need a recipe. However if you’re not looking to have a 1/2 cup of this spice mix than you can cut this in half for 1/4 cup.
Stir or whisk to combine and you’re all set.
