Is this Gin and Tonic Granita a boozy dessert or frozen adult beverage? Either way prepare to fall in love with this cool and refreshing icy treat!
Now you can have your gin and tonic and eat it too!
That’s right! I turned one of my favorite cocktails into a granita.
This isn’t the first time either, remember this sangria version? Same concept: combine your ingredients, add to a metal pan and freeze while periodically scraping with a fork. SO easy and the perfect after dinner treat.
But the question still remains: icy adult beverage? Or boozy dessert?
To Make This Gin and Tonic Granita You Will Need:
- lime zest
- lime juice
- gin
- tonic water
Grate in the zest of 1 lime or about 1 tablespoon.
To that, pour in 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice.
Lastly pour in 10 ounces tonic water…
And 1/3 cup dry gin.
Give it all stop and pour it into a metal pan. I’m using a 9 inch cake pan.
Slip this into your freezer for 1 hour.
Remove, it should be slightly slushy, and fluff it with a fork.
Slide it back into the freezer for another hour and repeat the scraping with the fork.
Freeze over night or enjoy!
Cool and icy, refreshing and boozy. This g & t granita is a summer must!
