This adult bevy is probs one of the easiest drinks to make and sip and relax with. On hot summer evenings, this is the drink you want. Infact, I will make this in a thermal mug and take out on the boat when we go out for an evening. It’s so light and citrusy! That’s what I like most about it. That and that it isn’t super sweet, like there’s zero added sugar and it doesn’t need it.
So this Mother’s Day treat yo’ self to one or seven because heyyy it’s our day to indulge!

To Make These Lemon Gin Fizz You Will Need:
- ice
- 2 ounces dry gin
- 4 ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice
- simple syrup
- club soda
- slices of lemon and fresh mint sprigs, for garnish
First can we zoom up on that logo? Hello, gorgeous! There are a few reasons why I buy this dry gin. One: the label. Unique, retro and cool. Two: MADE IN DETROIT ❤️. Three: the botanicals (such as juniper, cardamom, coriander, star anise, orris root, fresh orange peel and cinnamon) for this are sourced locally from Germack co. in Eastern Market. Fourth: This dry gin is delicious.
Start by filling two glasses up to the top with ice.
Next, pour in 1 ounce of gin (or more!), 1 to 2 tablespoons simple syrup and 2 ounces of fresh lemon juice into each glass.
Lastly, top it off with club soda, sprigs of fresh mint and a slice of lemon.
Super simple and tastes like summer in a glass. And as always, please drink responsibly. ❤️

Ingredients
- ice
- 2 ounces gin

- simple syrup, to taste
- club soda
- lime slices, for garnish
- fresh mint, for garnish
Instructions
- Fill two glasses with ice.
- Then divide the gin and fresh lemon juice among the glasses.
- Lastly top each off with simple syrup to taste, club soda, fresh mint sprigs and lemon slices.

sorry to hear that, Elisa! That could be because there isn’t a sweetener. I highly suggest trying this with a vanilla or lavender simple syrup!
Just to note that simple syrup IS sugar dissolved in water.. (boiled and cooled) So the recipe does indeed have sugar and it’s needed to off set the lemons unless you opt for a soda water that is flavoured. Simple syrup (aka sugar / sweetener) is one of the ingredients listed in the recipe.
