Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Blondies are sweet, chewy and packed with lots of flavor. What makes these blondies extra special is browning the butter beforehand. It adds a delicious and subtle nuttiness. Yields 16 squares.

Ingredients
1stick1/2 cup or 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
1cuplight brown sugar (packed)
1largeegg
1teaspoonpure vanilla extract
1¼cupsunbleached all-purpose flour
3/4teaspoonkosher salt
1/2teaspoonbaking powder
1/2cupmilk chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350° and line a 9x9 pan with parchement, leaving an in or so overhang, and spray with nonstick baking spray.
Heat butter in a small skillet over medium-low heat. Stir ofte until lightly golden brown. Remove off of the heat and pour into a large heat-safe bowl and cool.
Once the browned butter has cooled, add in the sugar, egg and vanilla. Use a rubber spatula and mix until combined.
Next, add in the flour, salt and baking powder. Mix until just a trace of flour is left. Add in the chocolate chips and mix until even distributed.
Bake on the middle rack of your oven for 25 minutes or until a tester comes out clean with only a few crumbs attached.
