This Homemade Montreal Chicken Seasoning Recipe has a robust blend of garlic, herbs and spices. Deliciously perfect on chicken or vegetables especially when grilled! Yields 5 tablespoons but can easily be doubled or tripled.
In a motar; measure and add the garlic, onion, parlesy and coriander. Use the pestle to smash and grind until the herbs and spices are small. Alternatively you can use a spice grinder.
Add this to a jar or container along with the lemon pepper, aleppo pepper, paprika and turmeric, stirring to combine.
Store the Montreal chicken seasoning in a jar or container that has tight fitting lid and place in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months or longer.
Notes
*If you don't have aleppo pepper, substitute with 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes.TO USE: Toss 1-1/4 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breas halves with 2 teaspoons light olive oil and 2 tablespoons of seasoning. Preheat your grill to 450° and once hot, grill the seasoned chicken for 4 to 6 minutes a side or until fully cooked. Allow to rest before serving with a pinch or two of kosher salt and more freshly ground black pepper.
