This Easy Fried Rice recipe is so simple and quick to prepare! Leftover cooked rice is tossed with green onions, a simple 5-ingredient sauce and cooked with egg for excellent restaurant quality fried rice.
5green onionssliced (light and dark green parts separated)
1teaspoonextra light olive oil
2largeeggsbeaten
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combien both light and dark soy sauce, with garlic, oyster sauce and sriracha. Stir to combine and set off to the side,.
Next, in a large bowl, combine the rice with the light green parts of the green onion. Pour in the sauce and toss to combine.
heat 1 teaspoon olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot add in the rice mixture. Stir and cook until the rice starts to brown in spots.
Make a well in teh middle of the pan, add the beaten eggs and use a wooden spatula to scramble the eggs. Mix the scramble eggs into the rice. Alternatively, you could scramble the eggs prior to adding the rice. Whichever you prefer.
Serve the rice with the dark green parts of the onion and with extra srirach if desired.
Notes
Add leftover cooked shrimp or chopped cooked chicken, beef or pork to add protein to the fried rice.
