Ingredients

  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup store bought or [homemade]
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla syrup
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee granules (optional) see notes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Irish whiskey - more or less to taste

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, preferably with a spout, measure and add the sweetened condensed milk, chocolate syrup, vanilla, insant coffee, irish whiskey and heavy cream.
  • Whisk to combine. It will take a minute for the instant coffee to dissolve. So doing this in a glass bowl helps as the granules like to sink.
  • Transfer the Irish cream to a jar or container with a tight fitting lid and keep refrigerated for up to 2 months.
  • You may need to shake or stir before using.

Notes

I like to add instant coffee to enhance the chocolate flavor. I keep a small jar of it (Folgers) in my fridge for things like this. However it is optional, so you don't have to run out to the store and purchase it if you don't have it on hand.
