1cupgrated mozzarella cheese
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°.
In a 10-inch skillet add the tomato sauce, basil, salt, garlic powder and sugar. Heat over medium to medium-low until the sauce bubbles. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile add 2 tablespoons of butter and 1/2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning to a small saucepan. Heat on low and melt. Do not let it bubble. Remove off of the heat and add in Parmesan. Stir and set off to the side.
Once the sauce has simmered and is thick, stir in a tablespoon of butter. Spoon sauce onto the bottom half of dinner rolls and spread. Top with two slices of pepperoni and a tablespoon or so of grated mozzarella cheese.
Bake sliders (open faced) for 8 to 10 minutes or until cheese has melted. Replace the top but and brush with Parmesan herb butter, bake for 4 more minutes.
Allow the sandwiches to cool for a few minutes before eating.
