Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Italian bread sliced in half horizontally
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 stick unsalted butter softened
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400℉ (or 200℃) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • On your cutting board, sprinkle minced garlic with kosher salt. Use a fork or edge of a knife to smash and create a paste.
  • In a bowl, add softened butter, garlic paste, parmesan cheese and minced parsley. Use the fork to work the ingredients into the butter. Switch over to a spatula to finishing incorporating.
  • Place both halves on prepared pan. Divide the butter amond each and spread evenly. Spread the butter so it reaches the edges.
  • Bake on the middle rack of your preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
