Start by pouring apple cider into a large stock or soup pot
Drop in a homemade mulling spice sachet and cover. Bring to a simmer on medium-high and then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 30 minutes. The whole process should take about an hour give or take.
Remove the sachet and discard.
