Ingredients

  • 10 pound hardwood smoked bone-in, spiral-cut ham
  • cup 100% pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon grated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325℉ (160℃) and place the ham (flat side down) in a roasting pan.
  • Pour 3/4 pomegrate juice and 1/4 cup bourbon over top. Cover the ham with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, make the glaze by adding the brown sugar, dijon, grated garlic, paprika and the remaining 1 cup pomegratae juice. Whisk to combine and heat over medium to meidum-low, simmering until reduced by half.
  • Remove the glaze off of the heat and pour in the last 3/4 cup of bourbon.
  • Once the ham has baked, remove the foil and pour the glaze over top.
  • Bake uncovered, glazing twice every 15 minutes or until the ham is heated through and glaze is sticky.
  • Spoon the glaze over the ham once more before serving with extra glaze (from the roasting pan) on the side.

Notes

For spiral sliced hams, use a thin-bladed knife to cut around the bone.
