Air Fryer Balsamic Asparagus and Almonds

Air Fryer Balsamic Asparagus is a delicious and super simple side dish. Trimmed asparagus spears are tossed with olive oil, reduced balsamic vinegar (aka balsamic glaze), garlic powder and sliced almonds before being air-fried to perfection. The glaze is sweet, slightly sticky and the almonds add delicious crunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch asparagus ends trimmed
  • olive oil spray
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze or [reduced balsamic vinegar]
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • black pepper freshly ground

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 360°.
  • In a shallow dish or pan, arrange the trimmed asparagus and spray with olive oil, tossing to coat.
  • Drizzle with the balsamic glaze, season with the garlic powder and kosher salt, to taste.
  • Once the air fryer has preheated, add the asparagus and top with almonds. Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes or until the asparagus is firm, yet tender. Shake the basket halfway through.
  • Season with freshly ground black pepper over top before serving.
