My {early} 30th Birthday Gift.

I walk out from the bathroom brushing my teeth and into the kitchen and there stood my family yelling SURPRISE!! HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY!! Mind you today isn’t my birthday, my birthday isn’t until the 19th. My husband couldn’t wait to give it to me!! A beautiful white KitchenAid mixer!!

And there it stood…the huge box!! MY very own Kitchen Aid stand mixer!! Holy freak-out moment!! And not just any Kitchen Aid… but the one I wanted… the Pro 500 series… I about fainted… but instead I cried.

It was the one that has the crank that lifts the bowl!! It has a 5 quart bowl and pouring shield!! The whisk, hook and paddle attachments are ginormous and heavy!! NO FLIPPIN WAY!!
I have wanted one of these for a looong time… since I saw Ina Garten use hers to make this lemon yogurt cake. And now I have one!!
Pat {my husband} is the best… he new (with out me telling him) that I would want the bigger bowl etc. and thanks to him and my wonderful in-laws… I now have the Cadillac (or would it be Lamborghini?} of mixers!! Pat was surprised to see all that a KitchenAid can do… pasta, ice cream, meat grinding, juicer and so much more! Since he hunts he was all about the meat grinder and sausage stuffing kit…lol.. as if I am going to be his deer processor now… HA!
So I created a space for it on my counter… and if you ever been to my house you would know that was a huge task in itself… but its so purrrty and white… and I LOVE IT!!

By far my best birthday EVER! Thank you Pat, Haileigh, Malloree and my wonderful second parents Pat & Brenda!! I love you all!

JEALOUS! We are saving for the ORANGE on for our kitchen. My husband is deployed, coming home tomorrow, and e-mailed him telling him I had to run to the store for a mixer, that I was making him a special treat. I meant a hand mixer, and he replied with a "NO! You are not getting that mixer right now!" He definitely thought I meant the stand alone!

    CONGRATULATIONS and Happy

Congrats!! I got my KA for Christmas over 13 years ago and I love it still :) You got a GOOD one, too!!! I wish I had room for one of those big boys :) Oh I have the meat grinder attachment, IT ROCKS!!! Happy birthday!!!

PS be prepared for a slight 'learning curve' when using the mixer, if you're like me & most people who have one of these powerhouses you'll be

What a great birthday present! I can hardly wait to see what you cook up with this. Oh, if it's cookies, I got the letters and cutter set at Williams Sonoma–I think it's called message in a cookie.
    :)
